Tuesday and Wednesday
Pagosa Day 6 and 7

We went hiking on both days and now David tells me that he has had enough and we must take a break from hiking on Thursday. I am having trouble with my iDisk which holds the audio files for the blogs so have placed the files temporarily on my other home page which I use FTP to transfer files to. I will also experiment now to see if I can place two audio files on one blog entry.

Pagosa Day 5

this is an audio post - click to play
We finally went on a rafting trip here in Colorado. The water was frigid and I hated getting it splashed on me but none of the Morgan family got hypothermia or fell in. Next time I come to Colorado, I think I will bring my own Kayaking equipment and go down the river myself at a leisurely pace.
Tomorrow we go hiking to a waterfall that Loretta has picked out.

Pagosa Day 4

Today was another great day even though it looked like it was going to rain all day long. We hiked at the park in town and ate a great home cooked meal. Tomorrow we will go rafting down a river. The high is forecast to be 78F but when we get started down the river the temperature will probably be about 45F. That is pretty chilly for wearing shorts! I hope we are all smiles after this trip.

Saturday, Pagosa Day 3

We went for our first walk out of town this morning and I must say that it was the most beautiful hike that I have ever been on. I don't have an MP3 yet but I will try to start making them since I know that I can post them now. I don't have my digital camera so it will probably be over a week before I get to see the photos that I have taken or can post them online.
The morning started off great with a hot air baloon launch just outside our door! Loretta and David both want to take a ride but I am not sure that I want to fork out the cash.
I have high speed internet access now at the Higher Ground coffee shop within walking distance of our room. That means I will probably blog more often.
Tomorrow I will try to have an Mp3 for my family to listen to. Until then, I am going back to my vacation!
Bye!

Thursday, Pagosa Day 1

We spent all day driving and have made it as far as New Mexico. Tommorow we will complete our journey and arrive at Pagosa. We hit a large Thunderstorm in Oklahoma City and decided to slow down when I saw 5 separate cars either slammed into a guard rail or stuck in the median. They appear to have lost control after hydroplaning. I hydroplaned once during a hangglider trip to Florida while driving an SUV. It was no fun and I too took the wrong response ending up in the median.
I have wireless internet here at the Microtel Inn and am very happy with the room. I wouldn't mind spending the entire vacation in a room like this one. After all, David and I survived last week staying in a tent in rainy conditions. I would probably appreciate any airconditioned room.
